Sunrise Sunset is a simple, easy-to-use application that displays important times such as:
- Sunrise
- Sunset
- Civil twilight begin (Dawn)
- Sun Transit (Solar Noon)
- Civil twilight end (Dusk)
- Total daylight
Take this app wherever you go, no internet is necessary for the app to work.

- Use todays date or select any date
- Use GPS location or select a location from a huge list of cities.
- No internet connection needed. Calculations are performed on your device.
- GPS is also optional, you can manually enter a location.

Not only for those who live in Scandinavia, Canada, Sibiria, South America and Down Under, but am must for Orthodox Jews, Seventh-Day-Adventists and other religions
İt would be nice to see the time to sun rise and sun set at any current time
Great app, simple to use! Perfect for timing reservations for romantic cocktails and dinner at sunset. Perhaps explain what terms such "civil dusk" mean in practical terms such as "able to distinguish objects but no longer enough light to perform any outdoor activities". Had to look it up. Otherwise a beautiful, extremely useful app especially when travelling in an unfamiliar area.
I like that this program is self contained, making it responsive and crispy. I havent looked at the pro app, but, I want to have an auto alarm for 15 minutes before twilight each day, if possible.
This is is one of my most-used apps on my phone, as I go walking every day right before sunset or sunrise. It is an EXCELLENT little app, and if youre into exercising outdoors, you MUST have this app. 5 stars!
I rated a 2 star, since it seemed times were off. But then I noticed the date was wrong. Im assuming the date changes on it own? Will I have to manually change? I will see. If it doesnt change on its own, I will go down to a 3.
Some bad moments
Each time I start the program I get a different sunrise time even though it is the same day and location. Shows a dashed line and doesnt compute a sunrise or sunset at northern latitudes where sun is up all day.
This application is unimpressive. It was not written in a way that takes advantage of all the developer tools that Apple offers (for example, the alphabetical list along the side of the window to quickly navigate through a list of names), and it doesnt provide all the information that would be useful when moving from one time zone to another.
All of the functionality that this app provides can easily be obtained just by Googling the city name and adding sunrise - sunset.
I am sure that there are better sunrise-sunset apps out there in the Apple Store, although I have not found a really good one yet.
Never locate your real position.
Even if you force it, The Time calculation is always wrong. Unless you Change The Whole iphone Time from The beginning. Already delete. No use.
The program will not run unless I give permission to allow my location to be monitored even when program is not open. This is true of most apps now. Terrible.
Tried to use it on vacation and it was over an hour off on sunset. Weather Channel app had it accurate and it was free
Good idea but the times were up to ten minutes off from the naval charts and weather channel app. Times cant be trusted for legal shooting times while hunting.
